Some of you might be wondering why we’ve been pretty sparse with news over the past few weeks. Well, ever since the relaunch, we’ve been planning something big for all of you, and it’s great to finally say our efforts will be revealed sometime next week. We’re spreading out a bit from what we’ve done in the past here at MacThemes, and with some big names involved like Jason Harris, Wolfgang Bartlme, and David Lanham, we’re hoping you guys’ll be impressed.

That’s good because this site hasn’t been interesting in ages. I’d go so far as to say, for the past 2 years, it’s mainly been a forum website. People don’t come here for the articles. And what you have posted since the site reopened, which frankly took a lifetime, hasn’t been much different than what it used to be. The articles feel like rehashes of forum posts that weren’t even written by your editors.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the new site design and still have high hopes that it will get better (contests, detailed analysis reviews of new themes, so on…), but that’s all there is right now, just hopes.
Best of luck with your announcement as I’m sure it will go over well and I will certainly look forward to it.

Perhaps something more than rehashed forum posts but less than full-blown interview articles is in order. How about short software reviews of GUI-related apps, add-ons, etc.?
