MacThemes Theme For a Week Mockup Contest

Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes of its deceased former self, so did MacThemes emerge, re-branded as MacThemes 2. The site’s been going along excellently in recent months, with tens of thousands more hits a month, and it’s all thanks to you, readers. We’ve given you a renewed commitment to deliver news, reviews, previews, and interviews highlighting everything going on in the Mac theming universe, with the promise of even greater things in store.
So without further ado, we’re ecstatic to announce the MacThemes Theme For a Week Contest. With over 13,000 elements to theme in OSX the grueling task of creating and producing a theme takes the right kind of artist. That’s why we decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of a long, drawn out development period, with little interaction from users and meager rewards at the end, the Theme For a Week Contest, as its name implies, lasts a week, with a (mockup) development process as clear as glass and rewards fit for a king (of Macs).
First up is the timeframe. Entrants will have one week, starting today, July 25th, at 12 pm EST and ending following wednesday, August 1st at 12 am EST. In this time, they (hopefully you as well) must create and email a mock-up based on a template provided on the rules page. Read the full rules and pick up your mockup template file on the rules page of our contest mini-site, designed by Philipp Antoni, if you’re interested. Remember, this is a mockup contest, your theme will be developed with the help of one of our very own interface gurus!
For those of us who know that winning’s what matters, we’ve assembled a jaw-dropping jumble of rewards for the one lucky winner and the two runner-ups. @Eario You don’t need to be good at themepark. The end of the week goal is a mock-up. A certified expert will help you turn that theme mock-up into a theme in themepark after the winners are announced.

That’s the idea!
Prizes aren’t awarded till the theme is fully developed, plus if they are not compatible with TP then they’ll be DQ’d. Many of the winners didn’t get developed because the designs weren’t themepark compatible.

I think if somebody is chosen as a winner, they deserve to win the prize. Changes can be made to a theme to make it Themepark compatible. I’d hate to be chosen as a winner, only to be DQ’d!
