Weekly Wrap-up For The Week Of 9/23

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up! This is a segment that shows off the staff’s favorite new themes, icons, walls, and screenshots each and every week. For people who don’t have enough time to weed through the forums every day, or for those who might have missed that great new icon release you keep seeing in screenshots, this is for you. As a general guideline, we’ll be showcasing one new theme (new or modification), one icon or iconset, two walls, and one screenshot in each wrap-up, though that could change if a week presents us with too many outstanding creations to single out just one or two. This week, we will be showcasing a theme, iconset and screenshot, but just one wall.

Mod

GAIAsnow by technici

GAIAsnow sleek new mod of GAIA by its own creator. There are two variations of this mod, one of which has a very original thin menu bar. This is a great mod for both those who didn’t like the black streak at the top of the windows in GAIA and those who are looking for a simple and clean light theme with minimal color.

Icons

Exempli Gratia by Link

The latest icon set by Scott Copeland AKA Link is less cartoony than his previous effort Chakram. There’s an icon for every kind of file and folder you’ll ever need. Need a work in progress folder? Exemplia Gratia has it. Need a folder with Pikachu on it? Again, Exemplia Graia has it. (I’m sure Scott has a very good reason for that icon. I’m just not sure what it is.)

Wallpaper

Grunge City by tumb

The latest wallpaper from prolific artist tumb is in the same street-art-like style as Central Living. It’s a great fairly simplistic background that reminds me of the trailer for the upcoming Wii game No More Heroes, and its obvious that tumb put a lot of time into the details of the building.

Cwsm presents us with his unique desktop that shows how nice you can make your computer look with a combination of themes, custom icons, and Apple’s own customization options. Note the cool time format also.
