I’ve been positioning my Dock on the left side of my screen for years, ever since a friend pointed out that I had far more screen real estate horizontally than vertically; but esXXI’s recent Dock release, Float, has me contemplating a change. Hitting us up with something a little different in the “running app” indicator area, EsXXI gives us 4 variations of neon circles that are a pleasant change from the more conventional arrows or droplets that pepper other Docks. I, for one, certainly hope this spurns some more “outside the box” thinking from the other talented designers.
