A Dash Of Dashboard

In what I’ve decided might be his attempt at getting the - as yet nonexistent - most prolific iPhone theme designer ADA, Louie Mantia has dropped another one of his concoctions on us. This time, he has released a theme that will be familiar to anybody that has spent time in OS X’s Dashboard.

New themes are a mixed blessing if you download and install a lot of third party apps. You’ve undoubtedly already spent hours adding icons to your current theme to cover every single new app you’ve installed. A new theme’s “oooo” factor has to be weighted against the “ughhh” factor of the time it will take to either make the icons from the PSD file or wait for some of our wonderful forum members to do so. One of the benefits of this theme was immediately apparent; it doesn’t clash with the default icons of many of the apps I have installed. The differences are there, but aren’t so drastic that I feel the need to rearrange my icons so I can keep the first page clear of any non-themed icons. So go on, check it out, and make sure you add the extra icons that have already started trickling into the thread.
