After announcing a .Mac successor at this year’s WWDC, screenshots of Apple’s MobileMe service revealed some curious new button designs, a dark blueish-graphite color that might shed some light on what Aqua will have in its new threads. Capitalizing on the recent forum buzz over the update, Dominic Savino has put out a slick set of Adium buttons incorporating the style, using templates by Jesse Dodds and AdamBZ. There is a reply that reads, “Nice… now only the full system theme left”, and I couldn’t agree more; they’re shiny, well-done, and just crying for a full Leopard theme. Get the Adium buttons in this forum thread, the parent button templates (if you want to take a shot at other app icons), and– just for kicks– check out Kevin Andersson’s progress in developing such a theme.
