“Sorry Adobe, they were very ugly.”
Adobe really screwed the pooch on the icons for CS3. Few apps have had so many people feel the need to create improved versions. Some are attempts to “fix” the Adobe-designed icons and others a throw back to a previous generation of icons based on sea shells, butterflies, flowers and feathers. In either case, most were somewhat familiar; now for something completely different. Alejandro Lopez of Dimension of Deskmod apologetically released his Adobe Folders icons onto our forums. To his credit, the icons are not only different and stylish, but clever enough that some are already asking for a complete set. Make that +1.

I strongly disagree, the default icons are pretty nice. That said, Adobe makes the one program that every single icon-maker/modder uses: Photoshop. Hence they receive the most revisions.
That said, these are superb and far superior to the original icons.

I think the original icons are great. Never had such clean and for them self speaking icons.
The feather was nice looking, but what does a feather say about a graphics program. You can write with a feather…

Go back to design school, Luis. The CS3 icons are the best! With all the crud and overly-designed icons out there, they are a breath of fresh air. Clean and to the point, but elegant as well. Keep up the great work Adobe!
