Johnny is currently a freshman at Macalester College and has been part of the MacThemes team since 2005. Johnny, along with Dave, spearheaded the site redesign.

David Lanham

David Lanham has been drawing since he could hold a pencil and has transferred all his knowledge to digital design and illustration. When not making icons at the Iconfactory, he can be found drawing odd creatures and fun pictures on his site, dlanham.com.

Currently a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, he partakes in various activities on campus including photography, advanced molecular biology research, and professional computer support. Austin Heller
Editor in Chief
Austin Heller is MacThemes’ writing guru, as well as a Colorado student and designer. Joining the staff in 2007, Austin now serves as lead editor for the fine folks who write the front page. When not typing away at MacThemes, you can catch him studying, playing music, blogging, or killing time on Twitter.

Richard Neal
Assistant Editor
Sadly, Richard William Neal spent the majority of his life unaware of the wonders of the Mac universe. He was saved from certain doom by an old iBook G3, the sunlight that turned his miserable seed into a beautiful flower. He is currently a sophmore at Lexington High School, in Lexington, Massachusetts. His work includes writing at The Apple Blog and MacThemes, the latter at which he is currently lead writer.

Luis Sosa
Staff Writer
Luis Sosa has been writing ever since a very nice teacher, who’s name he sadly can’t remember, taught him how. Luis graduated from New York University with a BFA in film and television. During his time in New York, Luis had the enormous pleasure of working at TekServe, New York’s premiere mom and pop Apple store. Luis now lives in Mexico City, where he writes and directs short films, rants on his blog, and fixes Macs.

Mason Sklar
Staff Writer
Mason lives down the street from Austin Heller. When not answering Taco Widgets support mail, they both spend most of their time at 7-Eleven. He really likes Slurpees and drawing. Furthermore, he advises you to visit this site.

Mitch Bartlett
Staff Writer
Mitch is an icon and user interface designer from Bristol, in south west England. The newest member of the MacThemes writing crew, he’s a self-described Mac junkie who enjoys playing funk bass & drums, and loves music. In addition to this, he likes writing about customization and not describing himself in the third person.

Stephanie Torok
Staff Writer
Stephanie is currently an undergraduate student in Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal where she also works as a Lab Coordinator, but don’t let that fool you, she spends most of her time quoting sci-fi movies and brushing the cat fur off of her clothes. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, even before she had a nifty Mac to write it on or about. You can catch some of her rambling thoughts at her weblog.

Edward Scherf
Staff Writer
Edward is an avid musician, writer, and artist. He spends most of his time working for a Florida based design studio called “Enhanced Labs“. It is here that he works full-time as a Senior Human Interface Designer specializing in the design and development of icons, website designs, logos, and the occasional application GUI design among other things. In his free-time however, he enjoys blogging, playing guitar, hanging out with friends, and pushing his talents to new levels.
